OUR HUB

Thanks to the generous support of Wolds Weighton CIC, the Market Weighton Youth Action Group is fortunate to have access to two spacious rooms designed for both relaxation and entertainment. Our Chill Room provides a cozy, inviting atmosphere where young people can unwind. It features a large 85” TV for group movie nights or gaming, as well as bean bags and comfortable sofas, creating a perfect spot to relax with friends. For those who enjoy video games, the Chill Room also has a smaller TV equipped with a PlayStation console.

Our Games Room offers a lively space packed with activities to keep everyone entertained. This room is outfitted with a pool table and a table tennis table, giving our youth opportunities to engage in friendly competition. A tuck shop is also available, allowing young people to grab a snack while they enjoy time with friends. These dedicated spaces are key to fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment where young people in Market Weighton can connect, have fun, and feel part of a supportive community.

The Market Weighton Youth Action Group opens its doors every Friday evening from 6:30 pm to 9 pm to welcome all young people aged 10 and up. These Friday sessions offer a safe, supervised environment where youth can relax, socialize, and participate in various activities specifically designed to engage and inspire.

In addition to our regular Friday gatherings, we host a monthly Cinema Night in our Chill Room, where young people can enjoy popular films in a comfortable, theater-style setup. This special evening is generously sponsored by Blue Sky Day Nursery, helping us create a cozy, cinema-like atmosphere complete with our 85” screen and comfy seating. Each month’s movie selection is displayed in our community hub, allowing everyone to look forward to an enjoyable evening with friends. Cinema Night has quickly become a favorite tradition, bringing youth together to share the experience of watching great films in a relaxed setting.
